
  AIM Automatic Image processing system for Microarray experiments



General Information
===================

This software is being developed in the course of a PhD thesis at Bielefeld
University, Germany. Its purpose is to provide completely automatic image
processing software (as far as possible) as a high throughput pipeline
component.

License
=======

The user interface programs, i.e. the project editor and the gridding
editor for AIM are distributed under the GNU General Public License
(GPL), as described in the COPYING file.

The image processing kernel of the AIM system is distributed free of charge
but as compiled binaries and for academic use only.
Please contact the author for other, e.g. commercial licenses.

Requirements
============

 o Working GNOME 1.4 (standard component of all major linux distributions)
 o libtiff (usually part of GNOME)
 o libxml2 (see www.xml.org or your linux distribution)
 o GNU automake
 o GNU autoconf
